Accessibility statement
We want every child and adult to be able to use this site, including people with visual, hearing or motor impairments.
Last updated: 14 September 2026
Our goal
We aim for level AA of WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
What we have done
- The site works with a keyboard; there is a “Skip to content” link and a clear focus outline.
- Text and button colours have sufficient contrast.
- Images have text descriptions, and decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Buttons and links have clear labels; links that open in a new tab say so.
- The site respects the “reduce motion” setting — animations switch off.
- Audio in lessons comes with a transcript (“Show the audio text”), and every word can be played.
- Pages declare the correct language (Ukrainian or English), so screen readers pronounce text correctly.
Known limitations
- We don’t control exercises from third-party services (Quizlet and others); their accessibility may be lower.
- PDF worksheets don’t have a full structure for screen readers. The same tasks can be done online on the lesson page.
- “Read aloud” in some lessons depends on the voices installed in your browser.
Report a problem
If something doesn’t work with your assistive technology, email luminova.kids@gmail.com with the page, what happened, and which browser and software you use. We’ll reply within a few days and try to fix it.
