Get involved

Two ways in: find a free tutor for your child, or become a volunteer tutor yourself. Both start with a short Google Forms questionnaire.

I am a parent

I’m looking for a free English tutor for my child.

  • For children in grades 1–7
  • Online lessons, 30–60 minutes
  • Tutor matched to grade and schedule
  • Completely free

The form asks for: your name, your child’s name and grade, and a Telegram contact. The form is in Ukrainian.

The form takes 2–3 minutes. We reply within a few days.

I want to teach

I’m ready to volunteer as an English tutor.

  • Age 14+ (under 18 with parental consent), English at B1 or higher
  • 1–2 lessons a week, 30–60 minutes each
  • All teaching materials and support provided
  • Certificate of volunteer service

The form asks for: email, first and last name, age, English level, how many students and which grade you’d like to teach, and a phone number for Telegram. The form is in Ukrainian.

We are also listed on the Ukrainian volunteer platform (opens in a new tab).

Questions

Good to know

Is it really free?

Yes. We are a volunteer project. Neither lessons nor materials cost families anything.

How long does matching take?

Usually from a few days to two weeks, depending on tutor availability for the grade and time slot. We can’t guarantee a match, but we will always get back to you.

Where do lessons take place?

Online, by video call. The tutor and the family agree on the service and time. For younger children we recommend that an adult stays nearby during lessons.

Do I need teaching experience to volunteer?

No. All lesson materials are ready on this site — you open a lesson and teach from it. A B1 level of English and consistency matter more than experience.

What do volunteers receive?

A certificate of volunteer service from Luminova Kids, suitable for a portfolio, CV or university application — and real teaching experience.

Can I volunteer from outside Ukraine?

Yes. Lessons are online, so tutors can be anywhere. Some Ukrainian helps with younger beginners, as the lessons are written for Ukrainian-speaking children.

What do you do with the form data?

We use it only to match a tutor and contact you, never share it for advertising, and delete it when it is no longer needed. Details are in the Privacy policy.
