Exercises children want to tap

Here is a real exercise from our lessons — nothing to install. The animal names are in Ukrainian, as the children see them.

Match each animal with its English name

Tap an animal, then the English word. A correct pair lights up green and the word is read aloud.

What’s ready

Every lesson has a word list with audio, a text or recording, comprehension questions and word games.

134
lessons in 41 topics
644
words, each one can be heard aloud

Hear the pronunciation

Every word in a word list can be played on its own — just tap it. 31 lessons have recorded audio; in the others the text is read by the browser’s voice.

Recorded audio can be slowed down to 0.75×.

130+
volunteer tutors have joined the project
150+
children have received free lessons
134
lessons and worksheets, openly available

The first two figures come from our own records since the project started in 2025, as of September 2026.

Lessons are grouped into topics

A topic is a few sessions on the same vocabulary: first reading and listening, then grammar, a game and a worksheet. It ends with a short test that checks only what the child has just learned.

About us

Why we do this

Luminova Kids is a volunteer education project. We don’t charge parents, schools or teachers.

Free

All lessons are openly available. No paid tiers, trial periods or “premium materials”.

A light website

No ads and no heavy scripts, so it opens even on a phone with a weak connection. Nothing to install.

Lessons without sign-up

Learning on the site needs no name and no age. Progress is stored only in your browser. We only receive data from the form parents fill in themselves — how we protect it.

Reviews

What parents say

We only publish genuine reviews, and only with the author’s permission. We never show surnames.

A certificate for volunteers

When volunteers finish, they receive a personal certificate describing the work they did — for a portfolio, CV or university application.

How to volunteer

Help us grow

The most useful thing is to tell other parents and teachers. You can also volunteer or help cover the domain and hosting.
